Elder Rasband said, “Our personal journey through life provides us with many special experiences that become building blocks of faith and testimony. No matter what the experience may be, each gives us a chance for personal growth, greater wisdom, and, in many cases, service to others with more empathy and love”.
Our Elders have shared some life changing and faith building experience that have been a testimony that our Heavenly Father knows them and is in the details of not only their lives, but the lives of their friends! Elder Anderson said this, “these experiences may come at pivotal times in our lives or in what may at first seem as uneventful happenings, but they are always accompanied by an exceptionally strong spiritual confirmation of the love of God.”
The verb remember, appears 352 times in the scriptures. When its variants are counted, that number jumps to more than 550. 220 of those are in the Book of Mormon.
May we all pause and stand still to see the hand of the Lord in our own lives and REMEMBER that we are His, He has a plan and a path for us. He wants to be in the details of our lives and give us experiences that strengthen, support and increase our faith in Him.
Elder Anderson ended his talk with this…”Embrace your sacred memories. Believe them. Write them down. Share them with your family. Trust that they come to you from your Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son. Let them bring patience to your doubts and understanding to your difficulties. I promise you that as you willingly acknowledge and carefully treasure the spiritually defying events in your life, more and more will come to you. Heavenly Father knows you and loves you!”
